Greg Wilson
Greg Wilson is one of the UK's pioneering club DJs. In the early '80s he brought New York electro-funk into the North West, at Wigan Pier and Manchester's Legend, and in 1983 became the first dance music specialist with a weekly night at the Haçienda. That same year he mixed live on Channel 4's The Tube, a first for British TV.
He stepped away from the decks at the end of 1983 to produce and manage, making two albums with Manchester's Ruthless Rap Assassins. He returned in 2003 and led the disco re-edit revival through his Credit To The Edit compilations, his reel-to-reel sets and his remixes with his son Ché Wilson.
